Common questions
Are you affiliated with the VA?
No. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. It is educational material funded by a home health provider.
Should a veteran pay someone to file a claim?
No — and this matters. Accredited help is free through a County Veterans Service Officer or an accredited VSO. Charging a veteran a fee for benefits claim help is a known scam, sometimes called pension poaching. Our handouts say so plainly.
Are the rate figures current?
Yes, and they carry a review date. VA rates change with the annual COLA effective December 1, and pages that quote them are flagged for review on that schedule.
