Common questions
Can family really get paid for caregiving in California?
In several situations, yes. IHSS can pay a family member including in many cases a spouse or adult child; VA Veteran-Directed Care lets a veteran hire family; and Paid Family Leave provides partial wage replacement for a limited period. Each has its own rules, and the guides walk through them.
Can we use these in our group sessions?
Yes. Print them, work through them together, or send them home with people.
Is there anything in other languages?
All of it, in eight languages.
